Two years ago, Annie Brewer’s life was turned upside down when her adrenaline-junkie husband died in a tragic climbing accident. So she’s hoping that moving to the beautiful village of Santorso in the Italian Alps will finally put her life back on track!
…ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!
She might be going into business with her oldest friend – notorious lady-charmer Matt Brown – but men are definitely out of the question for Annie! That is, until she bumps into tall, dark and delicious Alessandro Lago on the ski slopes…and spontaneously says ‘Yes’ to a date!
It must be the crisp, mountain air but suddenly, anything seems possible. The only trouble is, chivalrous Matt is looking more gorgeous than ever…
Annie moved from Turin to Santorso. She lived in Turin for 10 years and that was a place, where she was happily married to her husband, who tragically died in climbing accident two years ago, and now there’s time for a new start. She was definitely not looking for a new man, but to simply start all over and opening her English language school. Good things in life happen when you are not looking for them, that’s what happened to Annie as well, when she met a ski resort owner Alex while there was a small accident with a dog called Leo, who is Alex’s dad’s dog. Around the same time her husband’s friend Matt starts to play an important role in her life. Annie has known Matt for years and as he is handsome he is known as a lady-charmer, she doesn’t see him as a love interest and feels attracted to Alex. Sometimes it takes only one certain moment to realize who your heart really needs and wants. Annie has to choose between two handsome men and eventually the decision is not so difficult after all.
I really like the setting in the Alps. I am not good at skiing and don’t really enjoy it, but in the book it sounded so much fun to be on the ski slopes. A special character was a dog called Leo, who offered several really funny moments, but I also liked all other characters, except Alex, whose behavior was questionable at times. It was a great story about moving on, starting a new chapter in your life and finding love where you least expect it.
