While the spirit of the season sprinkles its magic over the seaside town and preparations for the ice sculpting competition and Christmas eve ball are in full swing, can Penny melt the ice and allow love in her heart? And will this finally be the perfect Christmas she’s been dreaming of?
Penny decided to rent out her annex and she thought that the tenants will be a married couple, but she couldn’t be more wrong. The day, when Henry arrived things didn’t go as well Penny had planned, but little did she know that things could get even more awkward, when Daisy arrived. After a rough meeting, things started to work out between Penny and her new tenants, especially well for Penny and Henry.

His daughter is the most important person in his life and it makes him quite protective of her and he knows that his future wife has to get along with her daughter well. Henry is a good looking man and several women are throwing themselves at him, but he is not interested because he is interested in Penny. Their relationship had a few bumps in the road, but the more it made them realize how important they are to each other.
I absolutely loved this book: I liked the setting in wintry White Cliff Bay, the protagonists and all the other characters as well. That is a small town you’d like to live in or wish it truly existed to visit it and feel the unity of the local people. There was a bit of predictability in the book, but it didn’t take away the joy you have while reading and there were definitely a lot of funny moments entwined with family issues, trust and love. It’s a great festive read and I am happy that there is another book in the series, it’d good to be back in the lovely little town.
