Lara Jean keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her.

They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her, these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she can pour out her heart and soul and say all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

Lara Jean likes to write a love letter to every boy she has loved, but not as a ordinary love letter, but as a good bye/letting go letter. She keeps all the letters in a hat box, and nobody is suppose to read them. One day her letters got sent out, and all the boys got the letters, one of them even her sister’s current boyfriend. In that situation things could go very well or very bad, but Lara Jean can make things work out just fine or or at least for a while.

It was a sweet and fast read. I really liked the family dynamic and also all the baking Lara Jean made. Every time she was baking cookies or cakes I wanted to take out my baking stuff and do the same.
