Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast – at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. But he didn’t count on exactly how much fun he could have being with the one right girl.

Anne Rollins has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a demented drummer was never going to be a good idea. No matter how hot he is. She’s had her sights set on her male bestie, Reece, for years. And now that she’s supposedly taken, he’s finally paying attention. If only the chemistry between her and her rock star would stop hitting new heights . . .

Coming home after work Anne finds out that her roommate has left with her couch and didn’t give back the money she had lent her. To make her feel better about what happened her neighbors invite her to Ev and David’s party. At that party she meets Mal, who is Stage Dive’s drummer. Their first encounter was a bit rocky, but that’s just the beginning, things start to get interesting when Mal moves in with Anne. It all should have been only temporary and for both side’s good. Fake relationship should be easy to handle without any expectations, seems easy, but things can turn tricky, especially when feelings start to become real…

It was an enjoyable read, a good continuation to the series. I am not the first nor last to like Mal, who was quirky and funny. Each book/each band member is worth spending time with.
