Blurb: Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction… my every desire… mine.
My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful… except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.
We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession…
It’s the second book in the Crossfire series and I enjoyed this book more than the first book and I’m going to continue with the next book very soon.
In the first book Eva “liked” to run away, when things got tough, but in this book she was determined to fight the instinct.Gideon still continued to keep the deepest secrets to himself and made Eva doubt so many times. Even though there was a bit revealed about Gideon’s traumatic past, there’s still a lot to learn.
I liked the book kept me turning the pages to find out what happens next. There were several twists and turns I didn’t expect and that’s what made it interesting.
In conclusion I really liked the second book; the ending was quite a surprise and from there starts a new chapter of Eva and Gideon’s relationship.
- “I’d rather argue with you, angel, then laugh with anyone else.”
- “I’ll kill for you, give up everything i own for you…but i won’t give you up.”
- “I didn’t know I was looking for anything until I saw you.”
- “Because of you, the world makes sense to me in a way it didn’t before. I have a place now, with you.”
